Retirement Home Essential & General Visitors Explained...
Caregiver/Essential Visitor

Includes family member, companion or a paid caregiver,
-
Supporting a resident's feeding, mobility, personal hygiene, cognitive stimulation, communication, meaningful connection, relational continuity and assistance with decision-making, and
-
Two caregivers are allowed at any time, except as noted below
Only one caregiver allowed when:

there's COVID-19 outbreak in the home, or
-
if a resident is symptomatic, or
-
if it's a new resident in their 14-day self-isolating period
General Visitors
-
A resident can also have general visitors such as a friend or family, visiting for social reasons
-
Two visitors are allowed at any time, except as noted below
No General Visitors are allowed when:

there's COVID-19 outbreak in the home, or
-
if a resident is symptomatic, or
-
if it's a new resident in their 14-day self-isolating period
